1982 Bedford Motorhome 4 Berth, bathroom, good condition.
|
Bedford CF2 motorhome, 1982, 2.3 petrol, 4 speed manual, 63500 miles, 7 months M.O.T. Mechanically sound, new alternator and battery, excellent tyres, including spare and tow bar. Recently serviced.
Internal area is very presentable, and has recently been refurbished. One double bed above the cab and the other double is in the seating area. There is a gas heater built into the motorhome and an additional electric heater.
Kitchen: Gas cooker, 2 ring hob, griller and oven. 3 way fridge and sink with hot and cold water. All in excellent working order.
Bathroom: Portaloo, shower and sink, all working;
It has twin batteries with a split charging system. Drives and handles well. Sits comfortably on 60 mph.The van comes with 3 gas bottles suitable for use in both U.K. and on the continent.It has 12 and 240 volt electrics, hook up lead included.
The motor home would suit a couple or a small family. We found it too be very comfortable whilst travelling around Europe and having a bathroom was very convinient!
We bought all the necessary travelling equiptment when we purchased the m home. We are including them in the sale off the van so all you need to bring is your passport and clothes. Such equiptment includes; safety triangle, a jack, all cooking utensils and cutlery, 2 queen feather doonas, towels, tea towels, an assortment of lonely planet books, atlas/maps, caravan camping park location books,novels,magazines and more!
Not so good: As expected there is some rust in non critical areas of the cab. As the engine was built in the good old days it requires a lead replacement additive added to the fuel when you fill up. It is sold in service stations everywhere. It doesnt have a radio so bring your ipod!
We look forward to taking you for a test run in Bessie Bedford, as we named her. We are currently in the south of France, but will be back in th U.K. from approx 16 November 2005 on.
